Social Finance Podcast - Episode 4 - Pushing the frontier: impact investing for decent work

This is the fourth episode of the ILO’s Social Finance Podcast on financial inclusion, impact insurance and sustainable investing. The podcast brings you insights from around the world, highlighting how financial services contribute to social and economic development. In this episode, we look at why and how impact investors are promoting employment as an impact theme. Lisa Morgan, Technical Specialist at the ILO, speaks with Amit Bouri, founder and CEO of the Global Impact Investment Network (the GIIN) and Patricia Richter, Senior Technical Officer at the ILO. They talk about the fundamental role that decent work and quality jobs play in sustainable development and how investors can leverage their financing to contribute positively to employment outcomes that address today’s pressing issues. They highlight the collaboration between the GIIN and its members with the ILO, including the work on developing quality jobs investment strategies and metrics for measuring impact achieved.
