Episode 20: The Doolittle Raid

With morale among the military and among Americans staggeringly low in early 1942, a dangerous mission was planned to strike Japan. On April 18, 1942, 16 B-25 bombers took off from the USS Hornet, deep in enemy waters, in what would become known as the Doolittle Raid.
