#225: From Part-Time Physical Therapist to Full-Time Photography: Liz's Journey to Living Her Dream

If your photography is a “side hustle” or you’re trying to balance family life and work life, then this episode is for you.    Liz Schmidt, mom of two young kiddos, was trying to do it all and finding herself missing key moments at home.    During her transition from physical therapist to full-time boutique photographer, she dealt with things like:    Wondering if she had enough business knowledge to make the shift.  Trying to mimic what other photographers in her area were doing (and feeling frustrated when it didn’t work).  Wanting to give so much to her clients but feeling like she needed to get them “in and out” so she could make enough money. Giving up her “guaranteed” income and wondering where the money was going to come from every month.  Talking to her spouse about leaving her job to become a photographer.  Taking action and refusing to get stuck in learning mode.  Investing in education she needed to make her photography business a success.  Working in her business part-time so she can be with her family and put them first.    I’ll spoil the ending for you… in her first year with us, she nearly tripled what she brought in the previous year when she was trying to do it on her own with mini sessions and digital files.    So if you want to make the shift from side hustle to full-time (or part-time) just like Liz did, hit play and get ready to feel inspired!
