#29: The Value of Photography Business Events
It’s been 9 months since we hosted our first ever LIVE, in person conference for boutique portrait photographers who dream of something bigger. It was amazing. The energy was infectious. The community was full of camaraderie. Watching 300 photographers come together in one room, believe in themselves, set goals for their business, and leave with a plan was EXACTLY what the photography industry needs more of right now. But how do we do that in the middle of a global pandemic? More than anything, we need connection. We need to be together and inspired to keep going as we head into a new year. We need to heal and grow together. We need a ‘space’ where you can sit next to another boutique photographer and help each other out. So here’s what we did to make that happen. We slapped $75,000 on the table and told one of the most AMAZING celebrity event teams in the world, “Hey, we gotta move mountains this year. You in?” They were. We are. Now you’re about to be, too.
