Who Is Yi He, the Queen of Binance?
Binance is still the world’s largest crypto exchange, but last year was anything but tranquil at the firm. A yearslong federal investigation into Changpeng Zhao, its co-founder and then-CEO, resulted in Binance paying billions of dollars in fines and Zhao stepping down as CEO. He pleaded guilty to violating anti-money laundering laws and now faces possible prison time. But remaining at the company is Yi He, who is Binance’s co-founder, one of its largest shareholders and Zhao’s romantic partner.
