Dr. Mercadante is Professor of Theology and the Straker Chair of Historical Theology at Methodist Theological School in Ohio (MTSO). She received her Ph.D. from Princeton Theological Seminary and her M.C.S. from Regent College. She is the author of "Belief Without Borders: Inside the Minds of the Spiritual but not Religious" (Oxford University Press, 2014) and "Bloomfield Avenue: A Jewish-Catholic Jersey Girl’s Spiritual Journey" (Cowley, an imprint of Rowman & Littlefield, 2006). Her areas of expertise include: Constructive theology; theology and culture; faith and film; addiction recovery; gender/race/ethnicity; interreligious dialogue; trinity; trauma/victimization; spiritual memoir; spiritual geography, spiritual but not religious movement.
