Sermon Series: “the God I am” “d xF'” k/d]Zj/ I am proposing this for the next sermon series. These are the felt needs- 1. From our evangelism trips and other travels, we have encountered so many different kinds of teachings and church leadership n Nepali churches. Many, including leaders have very eschewed (crocked) self-motivated idea about who God is, and how he works among us and what is the church called to do, therefore, have shaped their reading and teaching of the Bible. 2. Many Nepali believers are disillusioned about who God is (a healer, blesser, giver, magician, thus future-anticipations about life), who is basically there to give what I want, when I appease him with right things and manners, and many similar thoughts and ideas about God. We must understand God for who he is as he has revealed himself, before what we make him out to be for us/our needs. That biblical texts/revelations must shape, not only our understanding, but also our worship, our discipleship, our koinoniafellowships, and our practices both personal as well as corporate.
