Episode 2: Suelem de Oliveira da Silva and Jefta van Dinther.

In this episode of Cullberg Talks, dancer Suelem de Oliveira da Silva and choreographer Jefta van Dinther meet in a conversation on dance and their new collaboration Tell it to the mountains. Suelem is educated at the Deborah Colker Movement Center and at PARTS in Brussels and joined Cullberg in 2017. Jefta choreographed the company for the very first time in 2011, in The Way Things Go at Kulturhuset. In 2013 he created his first work for Cullberg; Plateau Effect which became a massive success. In 2016 he followed up with Protagonist that is continously touring in Europe. 2019-2021, Jefta is associated artist at Cullberg and will create two new works for the company. The solo for Suelem; Tell it to the mountains, is the first and will premiere in November next year. Cullberg is the national and international repertoire contemporary dance company in Sweden, continuously co-creating to make cutting edge dance relevant for the many. Together with choreographers from all over the world, we are exploring ideas on how dance can be defined, produced and presented. Those explorations are the pillars of a company that is constantly in motion at the heart of the international arena. 2019-2021, Cullberg works exclusively with three associated artists: Alma Söderberg, Deborah Hay and Jefta van Dinther. The core of the company consists of 17 extraordinary individual dancers with a central role in the creations. Cullberg is led by artistic director Gabriel Smeets and managing director Stina Dahlström.  A new episode of Cullberg Talks will be released monthly!
