Episode 5: Sylvie Gehin Karlsson and Mohamed Y. Shika

In episode #5 our guests are dancers Sylvie Gehin Karlsson and Mohamed Y. Shika. Sylvie is leaving the company after eleven years to pursue a new career, while Shika joined Cullberg only two years ago. They talk about their parcours as dancers, how to work in an international repertoire company, about changes, challenges, their personal agency and new adventures.  Cullberg is the national and international repertoire contemporary dance company in Sweden, continuously creating and presenting contemporary dance for the many. With dancers and choreographers from all over the world, we are exploring ideas on how dance can be defined, produced and presented. Those explorations are the pillars of a company that is constantly in motion at the heart of the international arena. The core of the company consists of 17 extraordinary dancers with a central role in the creations. 2019-2021, Cullberg works with associated artists Alma Söderberg, Deborah Hay and Jefta van Dinther.
